If you have something to say, through a blog or whatever you can think of, you can use Dotclear to spread the word.
The code is W3C compliant, including XHTML 1.0 Strict. Styling through CSS reduces bandwidth usage and ensures fast loading of the pages. These features also enhance content accessibility for visitors using non-traditional access methods, such as mobile phones, Braille displays, screen readers, and PDAs.
Here shown with the theme Blue Silence, your blog can be customized to your taste with one of the many themes offered by users. A Theme Gallery is available for you to choose the look that suits you best.
But you may soon wish to customize you theme…
To write entries, manage comments, and change the look and configuration of you blog, you use a private interface protected by a username and a password.
A set of permissions allows you to define, for every authorized user, the actions they may take in the private interface.
The screenshots below show the super-admin interface.
If you have the required permissions, the dashbord gives you access to all blog settings.
Only a few options are available to simple blog authors.
To meet the needs of a large audience, entries can be written and formatted using two syntaxes - Wiki (very simple but powerful syntax) or XHTML (for users who are familiar with this language).
Entries may be assigned to categories, but this is not mandatory. You may choose to publish your entry immediately or at a later date, or to put it on hold. You can restrict access to an entry by using a password.
You may also assign keywords (tags) to your entries, and include attachments.

As each entry can receive comments, Dotclear lets you allow or block comments on individual entries. Of course, comments can be deleted or edited.
Trackbacks allows you to react to another blog's entry, automatically noting it you have posted a reaction. Other blogs can make trackbacks to yours as well.
You can track the comments and trackbacks of your blog in several ways: by suscribing to your own Comment RSS thread, asking for email notifications or accessing the comment management section of the administration interface.
You may organize your entries by assigning them a category. The category management page allows you to create and edit categories.
You can assign tags to your entries from the entry interface. These keywords will be listed in your blog menu, allowing visitors to sort your entries by tags.
The Media manager, available from the left-hand menu of the administration interface, allows you to add, remove, organize (in directories or as pictures, music, video, text, etc.) and attach media to your entries.
